Scholarship Awards

iElevate Conference organizers are committed to ensure that individuals are equipped and empowered to participate in the conference. The iElevate National Black Leadership Conference Scholarship Program will provide support to qualified delegates to attend the iElevate Conference.

 

A limited number of scholarships will be available. Scholarships are awarded based on availability, application responses, financial need, geographic distribution and population(s) served.

 

Scholarship applicants can select from either:

 

Option (A) Scholarship covers:

One (1) Registration 

Three (3) nights accommodations at the conference hotel; (assigned shared room for the conference dates only) and,

Meals 

 

Option (B) Scholarship covers:

One (1) Registration ONLY

The information provided on your submission is NOT confidential and will be shared with a review committee that will review all applications.

 

A limited amount of applicants can receive a travel subsidy: Travel = prepaid airfare at the lowest fare available, from the nearest international airport and for the conference dates only. Travel subsidy applicants will be contacted directly. 

 

The iElevate Conference will make a hotel reservation for each Option A and B scholarship recipient for the three nights, checking in on Thursday, July 21st and checking out on Sunday, July 24th. Any additional nights to the reservation are the recipient’s responsibility to secure and pay. Upon check-in, recipients will need to provide a credit card to guarantee incidentals.

 

The deadline to apply for an Option (A) or Option (B) scholarship is Friday, June 15, 2022 5:00 PM EST.

 

What are the selection criteria?

 

The iElevate Conference Scholarship program is open to people who are: 

Black LGBTQI+

Women of color

Living with HIV

Community advocates

Faith leaders 

Film and media creatives

 

Applicants are required to demonstrate their interest in attending iElevate 2022 and sharing the information learned at the conference with their organization and or community. Applications will be scored by an independent committee based on the applicant’s motivation to attend, disseminate knowledge and best practices acquired at iElevate 2022.
